Use a shell collected at your last vacation spot and paint it with a beautiful scene.
This will make use of your collection and be a pretty item to decorate your space with.
Jewellery
Recycle beads dropped from your dresses or from broken jewellery.
Create some wearable jewellery using the colors and imagination you want.
All materials used to create this bead necklace are recycled.
Reclaimed Candles on a Plate
I have reclaimed candles and a plate, all of these did not look pretty by themselves.
I put them all together by decorating the candles and using some flowers self-created from satin ribbons.
All the materials used are bought from thrift stores.
Bulb Planter
Grab a fused/ dead bulb and empty out the top and paint it. this will make a beautiful planter.
Be careful while emptying out the top, you might end up breaking the glass and hurting yourself.
In the picture here, I have some scotch tape on the top, because I accidentally cracked my bulb while trying to hang it, and it needed more stability.
Another way of recycling lamps is by coloring a beautiful scene or design on them. And using that as a decorative.
Can also be used as a Christmas tree jewel.
Mobile for a Crib
I recycled a broken CD to make a doll's face with waste fabric and a rag to stuff it in to make it soft.
The jewels that hang from the doll's face are cut out from yoghurt cans, credit cards, and visiting cards found too often in mail.
All jewels have been painted in bright, but soothing colors. All of them have been filed and triple coated with paint to smooth out the sharp edges, or they can hurt the baby.
Some of the jewels can be seen in the picture below.
Th ribbons. wool, and any other materials used are bought from thrift stores. That's another way of recycling and saving money!
